I want to remember EVERYTHING about my girls. Every little thing.
The way Molly's part falls off centered across her face. Hair always in her face.
How she can't say her "s's". "Darby dop!!" I want to remember how she always has to have a "tutu" skirt with almost every outfit. Jammies, swimsuits and all. The way she rubs her blankie with her thumb and pointer finger while sucking on the boppy. Dress up "pincess" obsessed. Oh, and the way she digs through the accessory drawer whenever getting ready. 3 headbands, 5 bracelets and some dangly earrings is not out of the ordinary. The scrunch nose when she talks is the best and the way she hugs my neck while saying "I lub you do much, mommy"...I can't even stand it. She always wants to watch a "bunny" movie (funny), The Croods and Robots are two of her faves. Oh, and let's not forget the way she closes her eyes and sings "tine, tine, tine! Tine away!!"
I take snapshots throughout the day of every bit of her 2 year old sass hoping the memories will stick. But I know that they'll be replaced by newer more recent changes and events. I know this because it's happened with Darby.
Darb's is turning 6 this month. Still sweet and as innocent as can be. I want to remember the way she finds magic in everything. The way she protects her fairy dust vial. I want to remember our conversations where she points out where the fairies live..."see mom, the fairies love the sandy area over there". I NEVER want to forget our soccer game dates where she runs into my arms yelling"mommy" every time I come off the field. Oh and those undies sticking out of your leotard? Love! What about how excited she was when she told me she wanted to be in the kindergarten talent show...roller skating to "Shake it off" with pompoms. The way she snuggles Clouds or Lady or Wolfy and her blankie has always melted my heart and her sense of style is still as flashy as ever. Her sweet disposition makes her such a great friend and an even better big sister. I want to remember EVERYTHING about her
I'm trying so hard to soak up all things Darby and Molly while I can. Just soaking, soaking, soaking.
I love them. Every little piece of them.
