33 Week Belly

I finally got Tone to take a picture of my 33 week pose after dinner last night. Sorry, no bare belly shot this time...we were too tired after dinner in Waikiki!

Not too long now! The rocker is to be delivered on Wednesday...yesss!! One step closer to a finished nursery! I'll try to get a picture of it ASAP.

31 week ultrasound.

It's kind of fuzzy, but here she is at 31 weeks gestation! Her face takes up most of the screen, but look close and you can see a couple of round cheeks and a chin. I think she's almost smiling with her eyes closed :)

31+ Weeks and Counting!

Tony and I were given another opportunity to see our little munchkin yesterday morning at my third ultrasound. Dr. Schutte wasn't comfortable with the distance between my placenta and cervix as shown in my ultrasound at 19 weeks, so she ordered another ultrasound to make sure everything shifted "properly" as the pregnancy progressed. Hence the 31 week visit!

She weighed in at approx. 4 lbs and we were able to see little rolls of fat on her legs and arms. Our first question for the tech was "can you just double check to make sure she's a she...the nursery has already been painted!" Sure enough...we saw what we needed :) Tony wanted the tech to point out any hair she may have. We've got a little guessing game going on being that he came into the world with a red "fro" and I with just a little bit of brownish hair (an average amount I suppose?) Well, our baby will definitely have some hair...there were quite a bit of what looked like dark whispies showing up on the screen...possible red "fro" like daddy???
It was so cool to see how much she has grown and developed! We even were able to catch a glimpse of some chubby cheeks! The tech left us with another picture of her face, which now looks like a little baby (instead of the alien look back at 19 weeks).

My doctor has no need to be concerned about the placenta as everything looked to be a-o-k! Baby is doing fantastic! Now we just have to think good thoughts so she doesn't decide to come early! Tone will be in Yuma doing his big NSI Check and the soonest he'll be able to get back on Oahu will be around May 12th. We've been going by a May 20th due date, but yesterday the tech gave us a May 17th due date (based on her measurements)...keep your fingers crossed!!!!

That's pretty much it at the moment. Attached are some pictures from the past few weeks. Lori was so sweet and painted the whole nursery for us while on her visit! I went ahead and added some wall art as well. That's about all we've done so far. I did FINALLY order the rocker from Pottery Barn, now we just need to get some sort of changing table and curtains.
Last weekend Tone finished his first class towards becoming a dive master (pictures attached). Obviously, I wasn't able to dive, so I just layed out on the beach and waited...this was a spot we had yet to discover, which was cool! Tony really wants the two of us to become masters so that we can be confident going out on our own. When the baby is born the plan is for me to start getting some master classes knocked out...maybe while grandparents are in town :) We'll see :)

24 WEEKS!!

Well, believe it or not, I finally took the time to perform a photo shoot showcasing my 24 week preggo - "girlish" figure :) Tony is on the Big Island for another week, so I had to use my automatic timer option which is why the pictures aren't the best. Go ahead and disregard the PASTY WHITE torso...who would think I actually live in Hawaii? Next time you see some pictures, I'll make sure to have a tan!

Included within the picture gallery are some shots of Sadie lookin' all pretty from her grooming/haircut today. She loves posing for the camera! If only you could smell her and pet her right now...she's so soft and cuddly and smells fresh and clean for once!
That's pretty much it at the moment. The baby is alive and kicking within the growing belly! In fact, the other night she actually woke me up doing some sort of acrobatics...who knows??? It's pretty cool though :)

Enjoy!

Update

K...it's been a while, I know! Let's see...since the last entry I've had two doctors appointments. Baby's heart beat was normal and mommy has finally gained the weight that the doctors like to see...12 lbs total! I guess that's pretty steady, which is good! Dr. Schutte was a little concerned about where my placenta is sitting; however, at about 32 weeks they'll do another ultrasound to see if it moves...99% of the time it will move (or something like that). No worries now though!

Christmas was nice and quiet. Nothing exciting. We did get a little Christmas dress from Roz for our little munchkin to wear next year. It's a little Jack and Jane dress...adorable!!!

I'm still feeling fantastic, which means I better get to that nursery before I'm a huge mamma! There's just way too much cute stuff out there! I'll keep the blog posted on how that goes!

That's pretty much it! Tony's doing great and getting used to the idea of a baby girl. His favorite stocking stuffer was from "Kitty and D2"...a little bib that said I Love My Daddy! He informed me that she'll be wearing it all the time - not just when eating :) I'm sure that's a valid statement!!

22 weeks tomorrowish...over halfway there!! Crazy!

It's a GIRL!

OK...wow, it's been a while since blogging. That is to be expected with me as I have never been one to journal. Anyway, Tony and I have been back from good ol' AZ for about 1.5 weeks now. As always, we had so much fun which made it hard to come back! I didn't think I felt so crappy throughout the first trimester until I entered the second. All of a sudden I felt like a new woman one morning and have felt great since. Thank goodness it happened right before the trip. I still rack out on the couch every night though

While in AZ we received our second baby gift from Aunty Tara. For those of you who don't know, starting February 2009 will be THE YEAR OF TARA. This became known about 2 years ago when T sent out an email declaring the year as her own being that she will be turning 30 in March and she will be graduating from Law school in MAY...YAY T!! Well, that email stated there are to be no weddings and pregnancy's during this time if possible. OOPS! Of course, baby to be born in MAY!

With that said, T has decided that she and the baby will be bonded by the year 2009, so she gave us a bib and some mugs with a picture of her and the words "I was born in the year of (Aunty) Tara!" Picture is posted! Now that we know the baby is a girl. We think she and Tara are going to be first born buds!

Yeah, so on Monday morning we found out the baby is a girl. I think Tony and I both were kind of thinking boy throughout the past few months. The Chinese Calendar said Boy, friends and family were having dreams of boys, etc. However, the weekend before finding out, I was at a Christmas party where all the girls layed me down and conducted the Ring Test and the Pencil Test to see what the sex would be! Both results were GIRL. One test said our second would be BOY. We shall see!!! Wives tales...get the best of you!

The ultra sound was so neat! As the tech was taking measurements, I was amazed at how the baby has changed since that peanut ultrasound during week 9. We could see the brain, the femur and humurus bones, the eyes, the spinal cord, the heart pumping, the umbilical cord and of course the three lines that mean GIRL!! I asked Tone what he thought of the baby's growth and all he said is that the whole time he was trying to find the wiener! It wasn't until the end of the ultrasound that the Tech told us we're having a girl. She's 99% sure of it! Needless to say, Tony is a little nervous. He keeps saying he has no idea what to do with girls, and he's already nervous for those teenage years. "Poor Gary!" is all he can say! My college friend Mo advised Tone to start practicing his pigtails!! Ha...Our Tone is having a little princess!! He's going to be outnumbered in the house 3-1! The ultrasound Pic is posted...it looks like she posed for the camera!

So now we know! I guess we can start betting size and due date!

Next doc appt. is after the new year. Pics of the belly are coming...in the meantime Happy Holidays!

Sports Fan To Be?

Baby D'Amico received her/his first outfit on Friday courtesy of Aunt Julie and Uncle Jeff. They wanted to share a piece of Wisconsin, so what better way to say "cheese" than by sending some Green Bay packer love...little socks, little bib, and of course a little onesie. I'm not quite ready to take pictures of the belly, so I thought I'd take a picture of the little ensemble instead...too cute!

Anyway, not much to report this week 11. Another doctor's appointment is scheduled for this Tuesday - Election Day. Oh yeah, and feel free to take the survey I posted...Boy or Girl?????
